Wolf gets 2008 ACT ride

Wolf Motorsports is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with Mark and Robbin Willoughby of Willoughby Motorsports for Ricky to drive one of their two entries for the full season on the American-Canadian Tour (ACT). Willoughby Motorsports has in seasons past fielded cars for veteran drivers such as Dale Shaw and Bobby Dragon on the NASCAR Camping World East Series. Dragon will be the wheel man of the other Willoughby Motorsports ACT entry for 2008.

Primary sponsorship for Ricky's ride will be provided by long-time Wolf Motorsports sponsor BG Environmental of Rochester, NH. Bob and Gail Knowlton, owners of BG Environmental, have a long-standing relationship with Wolf Motorsports, dating back to the 2002 season. BG Environmental and Willoughby Motorsports have also teamed together in the past on the NASCAR Camping World East Series. Associate sponsorship for the team will be provided by Waste Management and Dennis Ciotti Racing Products. Ricky has been deemed a "Rookie of the Year" competitor by the ACT office, and will be competing with several highly qualified drivers for the coveted 2008 Rookie of the Year title on the ACT Tour.

"The fact that Mark and Robbin and Bob and Gail have given us this incredible opportunity just leaves me speechless, and I thank them all for this chance," said an elated Ricky. "I have wanted to Tour for many seasons now, and I am floored that this opportunity was available for us. The competition on the ACT Tour is second to none. They have so many seasoned veterans and young hot guns on the Tour, that there are at least 10 to 12 cars capable of winning on any given night. I plan to rely heavily on my veteran teammate, Bobby Dragon, to help find the quick line around so many of these tracks I have never competed on. Just qualifying for each show is incredibly tough and that may well be our biggest challenge all season. Fortunately, Mark and his team have seen and competed at almost all of the tracks on the ACT schedule, and they have a real good idea of what we should need to have the cars close before we ever unload them. Listen and learn is our plan for the 2008 season, coupled hand-in-hand with earning the respect of all the great competitors on the ACT Tour."

The ACT tour, based in Waterbury, Vt., has a 12-race schedule on tap for the 2008 racing season, which opens its season at Lee USA Speedway, Ricky's "home track", on Sunday, April 20th. Four visits to Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway, including the historic "TD Banknorth 250", and four races at the famous Thunder Road located in Barre, Vt. including the "2008 Milk Bowl" highlight the 2008 ACT schedule. Visits to other facilities such as Airborne Speedway (Plattsburgh, NY), Waterford Speedbowl (Waterford, CT), White Mountain Motorsports Park (N. Woodstock, NH), and Canada's Kawartha
Speedway
are all stops slated for the 2008 ACT Tour. Additional information can be found by visiting the ACT Tour web site,
